Curation.
When Norden to Bergen was initiated in 2016 by B-Open, TASC Ablett & Brafield invited Copenhagen based duo, Mathias & Mathias to work together; inviting an artist duo to work with another artist duo.
The idea of collaboration has been an important part of our research so far; what role does the collaboration take in artistic research- does it create a space for more ideas or does there still need to be a leader to organise and refocus the work of the group.

When Norden to Bergen was initiated in 2016 by B-Open, TASC Ablett & Brafield invited Copenhagen based duo, Mathias & Mathias to work together; inviting an artist duo to work with another artist duo.
The idea of collaboration has been an important part of our research so far; what role does the collaboration take in artistic research- does it create a space for more ideas or does there still need to be a leader to organise and refocus the work of the group.
With these questions in mind we invited four further collaborators to work together on the work: dancer and choreographer, Ole Martin Meland, visual artist Robert Demeter, sound artist, Jiska Huizing and dancer, Mathias Stoltenberg.
The project gives the art work the form of an abstract charismatic object that moves between artists; each artist works on the same piece of work for a period of time, through their own medium, and then communicates it onto the next artist, from visual to sound to dance. Each time we meet the work is communicated through the artist expression.
The work went on a circular journey through each individual artist twice and resulted in an event on Saturday 21st April, kl 19 at Isotop project room.
